As an action and adventure channel, AXN is best known for our adrenaline-pumping lifestyle events such as AXN Big Challenge, AXN Xtreme and of course, our very own Emmy-nominated original production The Amazing Race Asia (TARA). TARA champions Richard Hardin and Richard Hererra did all pinoys proud when they came home victorious last season. No doubt, the Richards are the very embodiment of pinoys’ passion for the active lifestyle. In support of that, AXN is now taking on Manila’s running scene, with its very first running event – AXN Runs Philippines!
Got what it takes? Join the 3KM, 5KM, 10KM or 21KM race categories on September 18, 2011 (Sunday) starting from F. Ortigas Jr. Road (formerly Emerald Ave.), Ortigas Center, Pasig City. Stand to win up to PHP 3,000 for the first prize in both the 3KM and 5KM races, up to PHP 5,000 for the 10KM route and up to PHP 10,000 for the 21KM category!
Ortigas will be fresh territory especially for seasoned runners and there is no doubt that this will be one challenging race. The route will take on the C5 highway (Ortigas to Katipunan Ave. and back) where no race has ever been before, and will certainly put both physical and mental endurance to the test. Also for the first time in the Philippines, participants will be provided with their own eco-friendly personal timing chips, which can be reused for other events like the AXN Big Challenge! A new multi-sport timing product using the Mylaps-ChampionChip technology, the Finishline Green Chips are shock-proof and waterproof, and hence the perfect racing partner for AXN Runs Philippines.
Be a part of this exciting event as AXN once again proves itself to be the entertainment destination for action and adventure. Registration opens on July 29 and closes on August 28. Our registration partner sites are at the following locations, so head on down today to sign up!
